After 25 years of standing on his feet all day, George “Tim” Tannehill couldn’t take the back pain from spinal stenosis any longer and left his job, even though he was just 58 years old. Then, in 2008, the former radiologic technician became guardian of his ailing brother, which took a physical and financial toll on him. After his brother moved into a nursing home, Tannehill said he needed to find something that would give him a sense of purpose and meaning again.
